ABOUT ME
Mark Sanders is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and English for Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, MO. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri in 1990 with an emphasis on magazine writing, editorial writing, and graphic design. He earned his Master of Arts in English with an emphasis on creative writing from Mizzou in 1992. Mr. Sanders spent the next seven years working in the graphic arts and printing industry. He joined Three Rivers College in the fall of 1999 as Director of Testing and Assessment and became full-time faculty in the summer of 2004. When not teaching philosophy, literature, and critical writing, he enjoys these activites: reading a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction (Stephen King rules all); writing novels, short stories, and screenplays; watching and debating the quality of movies (read his blog— Enter Sandman); watching television shows (The Good Place, Unbelievable, Good Omens, and Rick and Morty are current favorites); long-distance running and golf; and playing drums. What began for him as a short story idea has bloomed into the Kingdom of Llanfyllin, with the second novel in an anticipated trilogy published October 21, 2019.
